Pressure means different things for different people. So don’t get psyched out when you see someone drain a put for a million bucks on TV when you still struggle to make consecutive pars. Awareness is a key component to learning the mental game. If you’re aware of your thoughts and how you’re reacting in specific situations that’s half the battle.
Be fair to yourself. If you hit a great shot, let yourself celebrate! Even if it’s just internally, take a second to give yourself props. You know that you will beat yourself up over every bad shot so let’s make sure we’re as balanced as possible.
