2010 Junior tournament looks like 2015 PGA Tour leaderboard

The PGA Tour has never been so ripe with young talent

It is amazing how the landscape of professional golf can change in just five years. The last few years has seen the biggest influx of young talent into the PGA Tour since, well… ever? Just check out the leaderboard below from the 2010 Junior PLAYERS Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

Some notes from the tournament results:

– Jordan Spieth is now a six-time PGA TOUR winner, a two-time major champion, a FedExCup winner and PGA TOUR Player of the Year

– Daniel Berger was last year’s PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year

– Emiliano Grillo won the Web.com Tour Championship and secured his first PGA Tour win at the Frys.com Open.

– Justin Thomas one of the top young players in Tour now entering his sophomore season

– Patrick Rodgers has secured his Tour card as has Ollie Schniederjans. Both are considered candidates, along with Thomas, to challenge McIlroy, Spieth and Day for major titles over the next decade.

– As for the winner, Michael Johnson. He hasn’t turned professional but it currently the #2 ranked college player in the country.
