Justin Rose on facing U.S. in Ryder Cup: It’s like waking a sleeping giant

Since the United States was embarrassed at the K Club 18.5 to 9.5 in the 2006 Ryder Cup, the total cumulative score for both sides has looked like this.

United States: 55
Europe: 57

And yet, the U.S. has won just one of those four Ryder Cups (although it should have been two and could have been three).

“Although the record is skewed, I feel like it’s been a lot closer than it is,” Justin Rose told Golf.com recently. “I think we go into this, or certainly I go into this next Ryder Cup with no illusion that we are playing an incredibly tough team.
